Final Project

INSTRUCTIONS

For our final project, we were tasked to continue refining our vehicles and props. For our final compilation, we need to have:
1. 3 vehicles call sheet by explaining its features and functions, human to vehicle ratio
2. 1 vehicle needs to be super polished, with orthographic, interior, and key artwork

Below is my process of creating the orthographic of my water vehicle. I started off with its side view with a rough sketch.

Then, I moved on to its line drawing.

When I am done with the side view, I moved on to the front view. To tally all of my orthographic drawings, I added more guiding lines.

Below is my progression for this week.

Feedback:
General: Don't need to use lines, but using lighting to differentiate the parts of the vehicles.
Water Vehicle: Fix the perspective for no.1. Use the Zbrush model as a 3D guide. Focus on finishing and polishing this vehicle. The orthographic is fine. Elaborate on the interior. Bring out certain props to be explained, like the bed.
Land Vehicle: The orthographic is fine but polish no 1. Give more clarity to it.

Problem Solving Progression
I decided to use Zbrush to fix my perspective issue for my water vehicle. Below is my progression.

Then, I traced the 2D illustration based on my 3D sculpture.

Final Submission for Vehicle and Props Design Final Project

Below is my final submission for the Vehicle and Props Design Final Project which comprises all the final outcomes in a PDF format.

Reflection: Overall, I would say this is my favourite module for this semester. I enjoyed the process of making my vehicles come alive from the brainstorming stage till the end. The one thing I struggled with the most were the perspectives, and I plan to practice more about it during my upcoming semester break. Thanks for the guidance provided by Mr Kannan throughout the semester, you have inspired us to become better illustrators and designers to thrive in this field. Also, I have plans to further develop the vehicles I created into more realistic, functional, and interesting vehicles in the near future.
